Over the course of this long-term collaboration, LDL Studio has served as Architect and Exhibit Designer for more than seven animal species at Roger Williams Park Zoo. Our team has gained extensive experience adhering to American Zoological Association (AZA) guidelines related to animal care, habitat design, breeding conditions, and overall wellbeing. Working closely with the Zoo’s Facilities and Animal Care staff, we’ve developed master plans of exhibits and presentations for species including the Cheetah, Red Panda, Wallaby, Binturong, Komodo Dragon, and an upcoming Penguin habitat currently under construction. This continued partnership has allowed us to work alongside specialized engineers, contractors, and fabricator —addressing everything from perimeter netting for digging animals to climate-sensitive environments and complex ecological requirements. Each project reflects our shared commitment to innovative, humane, and educational zoo design.
