Between 2020 and 2023, LDL Studio reimagined a 10,400-square-foot plantation-style estate and adjacent barn into the Manor House Spa, a luxury wellness retreat on a two-acre site in South Carolina. A 6,000-square-foot addition seamlessly connects the buildings, housing 18 treatment rooms, locker facilities, a fitness center, and a yoga studio. To address pool constraints, LDL designed a natatorium-style swim lane with operable walls and a cascading water feature for year-round use. The spa also includes a café and wellness-focused beverage bar, all thoughtfully curated to reflect the estate’s original elegance while introducing a refined, modern sensibility.
